about

SCFPA

SCFPA brings together foster parents & people within community who wish to improve the foster care system & enhance the lives of all children & their families.

Web Strategy

SCFPA's web strategy aimed to create awareness and engagement in the foster care community. The comprehensive website offered valuable resources, training, and updates on legislation and events related to foster care in South Carolina. It catered to all members of the foster care community, providing support and information to enhance their ability to provide the best care for foster children. Programs were created to support foster youth and their families, promoting engagement and participation. The strategy aimed to create a strong community among stakeholders, reduce stigma associated with foster care, and foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all children and families in need.

Logo Design

The SCFPA logo was thoughtfully designed to embody the organization's core values and mission. The icon of a Home, replacing the letter A in the word pArent, is a symbol of the organization's dedication to providing a welcoming and safe environment for foster children. The Home's door is always open, signifying the organization's commitment to serving children in need. The use of Green as the color of the Home represents new beginnings and growth, renewal, and abundance, reinforcing the idea that SCFPA provides a fresh start for foster children. The Blue text/font conveys calmness and responsibility, reflecting the organization's professionalism and reliability. Overall, the SCFPA logo is a beautiful representation of the organization's mission to create a supportive and inclusive community for all children and families in need.

Implementation

SCFPA's website is protected, maintained, and backed up through robust security measures, regular maintenance, and reliable backups. Strong passwords, SSL certificates, firewall protection, and security plugins have been implemented. Content updates, bug fixes, and performance optimization are done regularly. Backups are created and securely stored offsite to prevent data loss. A comprehensive disaster recovery plan is in place, and backups are periodically tested to ensure swift restoration in case of emergencies. I created SCFPA's logo in a vector format, which is ideal for scalability without loss of quality. Vector graphics are resolution-independent, editable, and widely used for high-quality outputs by printers and other vendors.

Since 2011, I have designed numerous projects for SCFPA and its programs, each with its own unique branding.
Below are some of the featured designs that showcase my work.
