Business cards look simple. They are not always simple to design.
In some ways, designing a business card can be more difficult than designing a full-page advertisement. You are working with a very small space, and everything has to fit without looking crowded.
The logo, name, title, phone number, email address, website, physical address, and other information all compete for a limited amount of room. Even the font size becomes important.
The goal is not simply to make everything fit. The card still needs to look good.
I normally design both the front and back of the business card.
Once the design is ready, I provide a realistic mock-up showing what the finished card should look like in a real-world setting. This gives you a much better visual representation than simply looking at a flat design on a computer screen.
We can make changes before anything goes to the printer.
Once everything is approved, I provide the file format your printer requires, such as a print-ready PDF or high-quality image file.
If you are one of my website clients, I do not charge you separately to design your business cards.
That includes the initial front-and-back design, revisions, correcting mistakes, and changes you may need later.
If you have a team, I can also create cards for up to 10 team members using the approved design at no additional design charge.
And if you come back a year later and decide you want an entirely new business card design, I’ll design that too.
You pay the printer for the actual cards. You don’t pay me for the design.
For someone who is not currently a website client, a standalone business card design is $300. Larger sets involving cards for multiple employees can be priced based on the number of individual cards required.
A typical front-and-back business card design can usually be completed in about one day.
